Second Annual Pine Mountain Pulldown
September 11th – September 13th 2009

The 22-acre Pine Mountain Inn serves as the events festival area, campground and Dyno comp venue while the outdoor bouldering competition takes place Saturday at the top of Pine Mountain.


The bouldering at Pine Mountain is located at 7000 feet above sea level so September temps are generally in the low 70s. Pine Mountain Inn is located about 9 miles from the competition site and sits at 4000 feet. So temps are warmer providing a perfect venue for the nighttime festivities.


OUR FESTIVAL INCLUDES:

All festival activities take place at the rustic Pine Mountain Inn.

LOCATION:
The Pine Mountain Inn is the festival and launch site for the Pine Mountain Pulldown. It is located 27.5 miles North of Ojai, CA on Highway 33

CHECK IN:
In order to join the festivities and the competition you must first check in and pick up your event packet. Check in and packet pick up is Friday September 11th from 3 to 9pm and Saturday September 12th from 6 to 8am. Please come early to reduce lines and headache.
There will be an additional festival only check in on Saturday the 12th from 4pm to 6pm.

 

PARKING:   
There is parking at the Pine Mountain Inn and at the intersection of Pine Mountain Ridge road and Hwy 33. PLEASE carpool when possible.  Park only in the designated area and completely off the paved road, otherwise your car may impede traffic.  

 

CAMPING:
Camping at the Pine Mountain Inn is encouraged and is included with your event registration fee.  Bring a tent, sleeping bag and pad. All camping is done on a first come first serve basis. porta potties, water and food venders are available at the Pine Mountain Inn.

 

BUSES:
To save your warm up for the boulders and not the 9 mile approach we will be shuttling participants from the Pine Mountain Inn to the top of Pine Mountain Saturday morning and returning Saturday Afternoon.

ALL participants must ride one of the event buses to the competition site. NO ONE will be allowed to drive past the base of Pine Mountain. We will begin loading buses at 8:00am and the first bus will depart from the Pine Mountain Inn once it is loaded. Please board the buses as early as possible so we can start the event as soon as possible.


Bus service will resume at 4:00pm returning people to The Pine Mountain Inn. There will be an hourly shuttle, if needed, during the day running from the Hwy 33/Pine Mountain Ridge Road intersection and the bouldering site.
